Please join the Hariri Institute for Computing tomorrow, Tuesday, May 16th for our DSI Distinguished Lecture, featuring visitor Adam Smith, Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Pennsylvania State University.

Smith’s talk, “Privacy, Stability and Generalization,” will discuss his research on issues related to using large amounts of data from various parties, and “differential privacy,” an alternative use of privacy systems that is used to analyze and design other systems already in use.  He will also give an overview of the benefits of differential privacy, specifically with regard to its ability to limit data that is revealed to other participating parties.
