This week’s Wed at Hariri talk will be given by Jacob Bor, Hariri Junior Faculty Fellow and Professor of Global Health & Epidemiology. In his presentation, Professor Bor will provide an overview of his research and work with the South African government to create a database of HIV cases to monitor disease progression and treatment. The presentation will delve into Professor Bor’s development of the database and his findings that may allow expansion of treatment and care for the disease.
In addition, the talk will feature short presentations by Rajita Menon and Sarah Zheng, Hariri Graduate Student Fellows and PhD candidates in Physics and Operations & Technology Management, respectively. Both will present a quick overview of their research findings in the constraints of space on microbial communities (Menon) and managing and allocating scarce resources to lower healthcare costs (Zheng).
