Please join the Hariri Institute for Computing TODAY, Thursday, October 13, 2-4 pm for a Data Science Initiative (DSI) Colloquium featuring Mikhail Belkin, Associate Professor in the Departments of Computer Science and Engineering & Statistics at Ohio State University. Hosted by the Hariri Institute for Computing, the presentation will revisit some of the older approaches to training the Radial Basis Function (RBF) networks from a modern perspective, shedding light on some impressive recent successes of using soft k-means features for image recognition and other tasks.
