$1000 STUDENT CODING CONTEST PLUS $25 PER HOUR TO THE WINNER!!!
HIGH PAYING SUMMER INTERNSHIP/CODING OPPORTUNITY FOR MICROSOFT WINDOWS DEVELOPMENT:
$1000 PRIZE FOR PROVING YOU CAN CODE and THEN YOU GET THE JOB at $25.00 PER HOUR…
The first test of your skills, should you want to prove yourself is to write me a Kernel Driver that takes control of another PROGRAM's BEHAVIOR and HOW IT Can ACCESS Webcam, Microphone and Internet. The first test program shall be SKYPE.
Skype is a popular legitimate Windows application to communicate over your webcam, your microphone, to take pictures, file them and share them.
I need a Kernel Driver that monitors to see if SKYPE is being installed, or is installed, or is running and then when it attempts access to the webcam and microphone...if it notices the program is SKYPE then it pops up a Window with three options:
a) WHITELIST SKYPE
b) GRAYLIST SKYPE
c) BLACKLIST SKYPE
if the user clicks a) then just let SKYPE run.
if the user clicks b) then just let SKYPE run AFTER you popup a window with 3 checkboxes the user can select and then hit SAVE:
a) BLOCK SKYPE ACCESS TO WEBCAM
b) BLOCK SKYPE ACCESS TO MICROPHONE
c) BLOCK SKYPE ACCESS TO INTERNET
If any of a) b) or c) are checked, before letting SKYPE run, take control of those devices or find a way to block access to those devices so SKYPE still runs but is now limited. Maybe you blocked a) WEBCAM, so it can still function with access to MICROPHONE but no one can see you on your WEBCAM while in a conversation in SKYPE or if you checked c) SKYPE fails to connect to the internet....
c) if the USER selected BLACKLIST SKYPE then any time it attempts to run, KILL IT.
Finally, make sure there is a SYSTRAY icon available at all times. When left clicked open up a Window that lets the user change from WHITELIST to GRAYLIST to BLACKLIST and if they choose GRAYLIST, then popup the Window with the options to BLOCK or UNBLOCK (uncheck) access to WEBCAM, MICROPHONE, INTERNET.
Write an installer to deploy this program. Your program needs to install and run properly in these environments:
32 bit Windows 7
64 bit Windows 7
32 bit Windows 8
64 bit Windows 8
Write your code so you can tweak it in the future, easily to change "SKYPE" to any program name - or service name (or ID).....
Well document your code. The best coded working ‘prototype’ as reviewed by 3 independent judges, Brian, Bruce and Gary, shall receive the award. You must be available to continue to code at least 25-40 hours per week as a paid consultant throughout the summer to finish THE REAL PROJECT. The winner who can do this, will have an amazing resume for when they graduate!!!
THIS CONTEST STARTS JULY 1, 2013 and ENDS ON JULY 18, 2013. WINNER WILL BE NOTIFIED BY 5PM JULY 18, 2013.
The winner will have full time work until the next semester if they can continue to develop the program as mutually agreeable.
