The IEEE Cybersecurity Initiative is hosting its inaugural Cybersecurity Development Conference (IEEE SecDev) on Thursday, November 3 through Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Hyatt in Boston. This conference is a new venue for presenting ideas, research, and experience about how to develop secure systems.
Invited speakers include:
* Lorrie Faith Cranor, US Federal Trade Commission Chief Technologist and Professor at Carnegie Mellon University - Usable Security and Privacy
* Jonathan Katz, Director of the Maryland Cybersecurity Center and Professor at University of Maryland - How to Use Cryptography Correctly
* Jeremy Epstein, DARPA Information Innovation Office Program Manager - Identifying Vulnerabilities
Also featuring sessions focusing on "building security in" through:
* Exploring Secure Design
* Leveraging Security Enforcement Techniques
* Building Secure Defenses
We are thrilled to have a few remaining slots for our tutorials and hands-on sessions. These are the second half of the day on Friday, November 4th, featuring techniques and tools on:
* Security of Web Design
* Static Analysis Techniques
* Dynamic Testing Techniques
* Security Engineering
* Secure Development Operations
Your Graduate and Seniors interested in the field are cordially invited to attend the Tutorial Session for FREE as well as the lunch before it. Yes, we did say FREE LUNCH!
