FYI:

We would like to inform you about the details of the upcoming New England
Security Day (NESD) on Thursday April 28 @ Harvard University. The goal of
NESD is to bring together premier practitioners, researchers, students, and
funding partners in security, in and around New England. NESD serves as an
opportunity to share the latest advances, debate roadmaps and future
directions, create new collaborations, and seek new opportunities. The
program will include:

   - Keynote talk by Bruce Schneier (Berkman Center for Internet and
    Society)
   - Panel discussion on Security Education (Michael Clarkson (Cornell
University), Carl Landwehr (George Washington University and Lemoyne
College), Shriram Krishnamurthi (Brown University) and Nabil Hannan
   (Cigital))
   - Panel discussion on Bitcoin Security (Sharon Goldberg (Boston
University), Gavin Andersen (MIT Digital Currency Initiative), Ittay Eyal
(Cornell University) and other panelists TBA)
   - 15-minute talks and posters by attendees
   - Lunch! Fun! Community! Security!

At this point, we would like to invite you to *register* for NESD and *submit
proposals for presentations and posters*. The NESD webpage
<http://nesd.cs.umass.edu> includes instructions for registration and for
the submission of presentation and poster proposals. The *deadline* for the
proposals is *April 1st*.

On the webpage, you will also find travel and accommodation information
along with a detailed outline of the program and a description of the
unconventional structure of the presentation slots we plan to follow.
